JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Sara Virginia “Ginny” Hart departed this life on March 14, 2016, in Jacksonville, Florida. She is survived by her sons Matt and Michael; grandchildren; siblings Henry, Melanie and David, and many grieving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Sara.
Ginny was a native of Americus, Georgia, and entered Andrew College at age 16. She graduated with a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Georgia. Ginny was first a teacher, and then was in the insurance business for over three decades. She was a devoted Christian and mother. She died from complications of a hyperthyroid storm.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. on March 20, 2016, Palm Sunday, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, 1256 U.S. Highway 280 at Huntington Road, Americus, Georgia. The family will receive friends at the graveside following the service. In lieu of flowers, gifts are welcome in memory of Ginny Hart either to Andrew College, 501 College St., Cuthbert GA 30840 or Memorial Hospital Foundation, 3625 University Blvd. South, Jacksonville FL 32216.
