AMERICUS — Mrs. Margaret G. Oliver, age 92, of 2001 S. Lee St.,  Americus, GA died peacefully Thursday, March 17, 2016, at Phoebe Sumter Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, March 21, 2016, at Young Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomson, Ga. Interment will follow at Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson, Ga. The Rev. Edward Cook, the Rev. Wesley Kaylor, and the Rev. Melissa Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time on Monday at Young Memorial United Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2016, in the Magnolia Room at Magnolia Manor, 2001 S.  Lee St, in Americus, Ga.
Mrs. Oliver was born March 8, 1924m in Dallas, Texas. She was the daughter of the late Frank Gonzales and the late Florence Chreene Davis. Mrs. Oliver retired from Kingsley Mills in Thomson, Georgia, where she worked as an office clerk. After retirement she and her husband operated Oliver Home Furnishing Repair. She was a charter member of Young Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomson, Ga.
Mrs. Oliver is survived by one aunt Odie C. Fachee of Logansport, Louisiana; and the Rev. Edward Cook and many friends at Magnolia Manor in Americus, Ga. Mrs. Oliver was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Lee Oliver Jr.
