Schley brings home the silver from State Literary Meet in Macon

MACON — Four Schley County students competed at the State Literary Meet on March 12 in Macon, each placing first, and bringing home the trophy for State Runner-Up.
Laken Waters won for humorous oral interpretation.
Doug Goodin won for dramatic oral interpretation.
Michael Wise won for domestic extemporaneous speaking.
Goodin and Wise also won for duo oral interpretation.
Schley County’s team had 28 points to Georgia Military’s 35 points.
Patti Wurtz is the literary coordinator.
