Lady Panthers honored by City Council

- Michael Murray/Americus Times-Recorder: The Americus-Sumter High School Lady Panthers basketball team was honored at the March 24 Americus City Council monthly regular meeting. A proclamation was read by Americus Mayor, Barry Blount, who congratulated the team members on their historic sweep of the 2016 state basketball championship tournament. Each team member was then issued a framed copy of the proclamation and congratulated by the members of the City Council.
