AMERICUS — Steve Kennedy, City Manager of the City of Americus, has narrowed the field of candidates for the position of Main Street director to three,: Patrick Kay, Lauren Singleton and Crystal Gaillard.
Patrick Kay was most recently the executive director of the Main Street Downtown Development Authority of the City of Manistee, Michigan. Prior to that, he served as the executive director of Downtown Middletown, Inc. of Middletown, Ohio. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in philosophy.
Lauren Singleton is an executive assistant to the Assistant City Manager of the City of Tallahassee, Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree at Clayton College and State University in Morrow, Georgia.
Crystal Gaillard is currently a Government Services specialist with the Middle Georgia Regional Commission, and has an associate of science in history from Middle Georgia College, a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Georgia and a master of public administration, also from the University of Georgia.
According to a news release from Kennedy’s office, an announcement of a decision will be released soon.
