• Firefighters responded to cooking fire on Gailey Plaza where they found a burned pot on the stove.
• Firefighters responded to Wheatley Street to a report of power lines down and on fire. They found a fuse on top of a pole that was arcing.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on East Forsyth Street.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Furlow Charter School-Headstart building at 300 Cherokee St., which school personnel said had been pulled by a preschooler.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on North Dudley Street. No hazards were found.
