AMERICUS — Mrs. June Olive King, age 90, of Homerville, Ga., died peacefully on April 16, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus, Ga.  Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday April 20, 2016, in the chapel at Aldridge Funeral Services. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Rick Smith will officiate. Friends and family may visit before the funeral at 3 p.m. until service time and other times at 304 Sun Valley Drive, Americus, Ga.
Mrs. June Olive King was born on June 20, 1925, in London, England, to the late Mr. Arthur Beamont and the late Mrs. Victoria Miles Beamont. She worked for many years as a secretary for Slash Pine in Homerville, Ga., and also as a secretary for Standard Container. She had also worked as a Century 21 Real Estate Agent in Statesboro, Ga., and Atlanta, Ga. She was a member of the Episcopal Church of England and a member of the Eastern Star.
Mrs. King is survived by two daughters, Mary Alyce Bradley of Americus, Ga., and and June Marie Sutton of Homerville, Ga.; three sons, Mr. William Arthur King and his wife Connie of Pearson, Ga.; Mr. John Michael King and his wife Tammy of Snellville, Ga., and Mr. James Alexander King and his wife Glenda of Homeville, Ga.; a sister, Mrs. Mary B. Evans and her husband Fred of London, England; nine grandchildren, William King, Victoria Ann King, Kelly King, Berrien William Sutton, April Marie Sutton, Kendra King, Tiffany King, Amber King Decosta and Emmett Matthew Adams IV; as well as eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. William Newton King; her parents Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Beamont; and a son-in-law, Mr. Bobby Bradley.
