City of Americus releases finalists for tourism director position

AMERICUS — The Americus City Manager, Steve Kennedy, has narrowed the field of candidates for the position of Tourism Director to three: David Lyons, Lisa Riddle, and Nicole Thurston.
David Lyons has 10 years of experience working with economic development authorities. Most recently he has served as the executive director of the Ozark/Dale County Economic Development Corporation in Ozark, Alabama. He holds a bachelor of arts in marketing from the University of Alabama.
Lisa Riddle is currently the instructor/chair of Hospitality Management and an adjunct instructor of public apeaking at Albany Technical College. In addition, she was former director of Albany Convention and Visitors Bureau. She holds a masters in business administration from Georgia Southwestern State University and a masters in strategic communication from Troy University.
Nicole Thurston currently serves as the executive director of the Friends of the Cannonball House Inc. and a freelance writer for the 11th Hour and Macon Magazine.  She holds a bachelor of science in mass communication from Georgia College and State University.
