Americus
Friendship Missionary Baptist Church
“Mother’s Day Extravaganza” is at 4 p.m. May 8. Groups on the program are The Friendship Male Chorus, The Jenkins Jubilee, Sister Dot McCray & The McCray Singers, The Spiritual Saints of Middle Georgia, Bishop Melvin McCluster & The Tri-L Singers, The Wings of Faith and special guest group Sister Stacey Sims & The Anointed Voices of Americus. United Holiness Church
The 43rd church anniversary celebration is at 7:30 p.m. May 5  and 6, and 6 p.m. May 7. Everyone is invited.

Cheek Memorial Baptist Church
Homecoming services are at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Lunch will be served immediately following. The Rev. Rick Smith, pastor, invites all family and friends and the public to attend. A nursery will be provided. There will be no Sunday School or evening services on this day.

Joyette Civic and Social Club
The organization meets at 3 p.m. Sunday at the former Charles’ Wig Hut building, 907 N. Jackson St.

Perry B. Grove Baptist Church
A Pre-Mother’s Day program is at 4 p.m. May 7. Everyone is invited.

I Heart Church
A youth fundraiser is from 12:30-3 p.m. May 8 at 125 Lonnie Lane. Dinners, at $8 each, include choice of meat, two sides and bread. For $10, add drink and dessert. For information call Sister Jackson 229-591-3504.

Bethlehem Baptist Church
Annual Youth Day is observed at 10:45 a.m. Sunday with church pastor, Apostle Charles Carr, delivering the word. Lunch will be served. Everyone is invited.

New Jerusalem Baptist Church
The church’s 129th anniversary is celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Sunday with Pastor George F. Monts of Zion Hope Baptist Church bringing the message. Everyone is welcome.

New St. Paul Baptist Church
The church’s Missionary Department celebrates its anniversary at 11 a.m. Sunday during the worship service. Theme is “Together in Love and Unity.” Sister Yvonne Iverson of Daniel Grove Baptist Church, is speaker and Pastor Michael Walker delivers the sermon. Everyone is invited.

Shipp Chapel Missionary Baptist Church
Spring Revival services start at 7:30 p.m. May 2-6. Guest minister for the week is Pastor Ronald Wilson of New Hope Baptist Church, Preston. The public is invited.

St. Paul A.M.E. Church
The annual revival is at 7:30 p.m. May 2-5 with the Rev. Wallace Mills Jr. from Detroit, Mich., as speaker. The revival culminates on May 8 with Sunday school at 10 a.m. and worship at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited.

Spring Creek Baptist Church
The church’s 139th anniversary is celebrated at 10 a.m. Sunday starting with Sunday school at 10 a.m. Dinner will be served.

William Grove Baptist Church
Revival services continue at 7:30 p.m. today, April 30. Guest revivalist is the Rev. Ronrica Gordon, pastor of New Providence Baptist Church, Taylor County and the Macedonia Baptist Church, Dooly County. The public is invited.

Freedom Harvest    Worship Center
At 11 a.m. Sunday, Minister Juanita Nixon brings the message and at 3 p.m. the pastor’s, Georgia Deriso, seventh anniversary is celebrated with a special program. Guest speaker is Apostle Izell Williams Jr. of New Direction Christian Church, Albany. Everyone is invited.

Perry Grove Baptist Church
Everyone is invited to the church’s 124th anniversary celebration during the 11 a.m. worship service Sunday. The Rev. John Neal of Climax brings the word. Dinner will be served.

Smithville
New Hope A.M.E. Church
The annual Youth Revival is at 7:30 p.m. May 10-12. On May 10, the Rev. Tony Smith of Beulah Land Missionary Baptist Church brings the message; May 11, the Rev. Ronrica Gordon of Macedonia and New Providence Baptist churches; May 12, the Rev. David Hamm of Perry Grove Baptist Church.
Youth Day is observed at 11 a.m. May 15 with Minister Trenton Floyd as youth speaker. Everyone is invited.
