Schley County Schools take spring break
Last week the Schley County Schools were out for spring break. It was real quiet downtown with school being out. A lot of people must have gone out of town.
Graduation is on May 21.
More information will be available on all the activities that will be coming up soon before school is out for the summer.
Our Number 1 Baseball team is doing real well now and we hope they become State Champs again.
Let’s say “Go Wildcats.”

Schley County Ministerial Association to host annual bazaar
On Saturday, May 14 the Schley County Ministerial Association  hosts its annual benefit bizarre in the old Greenfield Building on Industrial Drive, south of Ellaville. It will open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. with breakfast at 8 a.m. and later hamburgers with all the trimmings  for lunch.
This special bazaar will have a large variety of merchandise  including household items, toys, clothes for the whole family, furniture and much more.
The purpose of this  special benefit is to raise money to help those who are in special need in Ellaville  and Schley County.

Justices spend a few days in North Georgia mountains
On Sunday, April 17, Vicki Justice took Dawn, Liberty and Dixie Justice to her place in the mountains of North Georgia for a few days.
Danielle Gooding, Vicki’s other granddaughter, joined them for a short visit. Danielle is in college up there. They always love to see Danielle.
They shopped, played Putt-Putt, and went horse back riding. They all four returned home on Wednesday from having a fun time  during their special spring break.

Liberty Justice   celebrates her 12th birthday
On Saturday, April 16, Liberty Justice celebrated her 12th birthday with a spend the night party.
For some special entertainment they had a water slide for all to play in for some their special entertainment.
They had all kinds of cakes: birthday cake, ice cream cake and cupcakes.
All the girls had a very nice time at Liberty’s party. They were Gracie Lyn Scoggins, Hannah Jo Scoggins, Lillie Grace Harbuck, Emma DeLoach, Mary DeLoach, Lucy Long, Holly McLeMore and Dixie Justice.
One of Liberty’s secret admirers, Ginny Calhoun, was invited and came for a little while to wish Liberty a happy birthday.

Schley Middle-High School students to be recognized at awards ceremonies
At 9 a.m. May 5, an Awards Ceremony will be held in the Schley County High School gym for the Middle School. Approximately 28 students will receive  awards.
At 6:30 p.m. May 5, the High School Award Ceremony will be held in the gym. Approximately 180 students will be receiving awards.
