AMERICUS — Hazel Reddick Waller, 90, of Americus, Ga., died Monday, May 23, 2016, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.  Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist Church of Americus. The Rev. Jerry A. Roe Jr. and the Rev. Dennis Stalvey will officiate.
A native of Screven County, Ga., Mrs. Waller was born to the late Causey and Rosetta Reddick. She graduated from Sylvania High School, studied at University Hospital in Augusta graduating as an x-ray technologist and was employed with Americus-Sumter Hospital.
She married Dr. Robert D. Waller, MD in 1948, and the couple lived in Albany, Ga., for 32 years where Mrs. Waller was a homemaker, raised her family and was a member of Porterfield United Methodist Church. She was a former member of Doublegate Country Club, and a member and past president of the Newcomers Club and a member and past president of the Dougherty County Medical Alliance.
She moved to Magnolia Manor in 1993, was a member of the Faith Sunday School Class at Magnolia Manor and a member of First United Methodist Church of Americus. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2015, Dr. Robert D. Waller, MD.
Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Linda and Ed Gosnell of Young Harris, Ga., a son and his wife, Robert and Corlette Waller of Westfield, Ind., and their children, Carlyn Wicks, Caleigh Waller and Crosby Waller.
