Sumter County administrator elected to office in GACMA

SAVANNAH — On April 29, Sumter County Administrator Bill Twomey was elected as secretary-treasurer of the Georgia Association of County Managers and Administrators (GACMA) by the members meeting in Savannah/Chatham County in conjunction with the AnnualConference of the Association County Commissioners of Georgia (ACCG). Twomey will serve a one-year term and may then stand for election as vice president of GACMA.
GACMA represents county managers and administrators and actively works to promote professional development and continuing education opportunities. During his tenure, Twomey will  be responsible for the financial administration of GACMA and will help plan and conduct two meetings for county managers and administrators.
