Students in Kathy Jackson’s kindergarten class at Webster County learned about fiction and nonfiction. Students listened to the book The Story of Half Chicken. Students had to decide if the things in the story could happen in real life or not. Afterward, as a whole group, students were given statements and they had to decide if they were true (nonfiction) or false (fiction). Students enjoyed coming up to the board and placing their statement under the category where they thought it belonged!
