On April 27, more than 55 fire, dispatch and county administration personnel from across South Georgia attended an 8-hour Insurance Services Organization (ISO) class that covered all aspects of the ISO Grading Schedule at the Sumter County Fire and Rescue headquarters station in Americus. This class covered all information to assist fire departments in working toward lowering their fire department ISO classification. If the department lowers the ISO classification for their response jurisdiction, then the citizens of that district will see a decrease in their insurance premiums. Mike Morash and Daniel Clark from ISO were the presenters to the class. Lunch was sponsored by TargetSolutions, a software company that caters to public safety departments when dealing with training and record keeping.
