AMERICUS  — Balloting is still ongoing for the 2016 Readers’ Choice Awards, brought to you by your hometown newspaper — the Americus Times-Recorder. And everyone who votes gets the opportunity to win a $250 gift certificate to a winning business of their choice.
This event is a way to allow area people and businesses to be recognized for the great job they’re doing.
The ballot allows you to tell us who you want to win this year’s Readers’ Choice Awards. By casting your vote, you are automatically entered for a chance to win the $250 gift certificate.
The Times-Recorder is publishing the ballot in its print edition and on its website www.americustimesrecorder.com through July 16. Deadline for ballots is 5 p.m. Monday, July 18. Readers can mail ballots to Readers’ Choice, P.O. Box 1247, Americus GA 31709, fill out online on the website, or drop off at the newspaper office.
The only rules are that respondents must submit a minimum of 10 categories for votes to be accepted, and only the ballots in the newspaper or online will be accepted. Photocopies are ineligible.
Winners will be featured in a special publication when the contest has concluded.
