AMERICUS — Robert Lamar Lloyd, age 70, of 348 Indian Road, Americus, died Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home. A native of Anniston, Ala., and lifelong resident of Americus, he was born July 28, 1945, the son of the late Oscar Lamar and Annie Beatrice Lloyd. Robert was retired after 10 years from Flowers Bakery where he was a “Bread Man.” He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed attending sporting events of his children and grandchildren. Robert loved being in the outdoors and he currently holds the record for highest scoring deer on record in Schley County.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Mark Long officiating. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times the residence of Charlie and Effie Lloyd, 410 Forrestside Circle.

Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Carolyn Griffin Lloyd of Americus; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Kris Braddock of Oglethorpe; three sons and daughters-in-law, Doug and Renee’ Lloyd of Leesburg, Scott and Lisa Lloyd of Leesburg, and Brad Lloyd of Americus; a sister, Carolyn Banks of Ellaville; a brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Effie Lloyd of Americus; 11 grandchildren, Sekema Lloyd, Nikiya Scales, Javaris Lloyd, Joshua Lloyd, Kayla Kirchner, Josh Kirchner, Micah Kirchner, Hunter Lloyd, Bailey Lloyd, Gavin Braddock, and Robert Lloyd; and three great-grandchildren.
