AMERICUS — Linda Darlene Hollon Mock, age 64, of 256 Ga Highway 49 North, died at her residence Thursday, Aug. 4, 2016. A native of Clermont, Fla., she was born Jan. 15, 1952, the daughter of the late Kelly and Jewel Hollon. Mrs. Mock was a master at arts and crafts and brought happiness to many people through her designs. She taught childbirth classes and helped bring many children into the world while working with Dr. Schley Gatewood Sr. and Dr. Schley Gatewood Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7, 2016, in the chapel of Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel with Dr. Schley Gatewood Jr. and the Rev. James Beckett officiating. The family will receive friends at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel one hour prior to the service at 1 p.m. until start of the service. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Michael Mock of Americus; two daughters and son-in-law, Madeline Lee Mock of Andersonville and Savannah Grace and Samuel Hughes of Americus; a sister and brother-in-law, Brinda and Larry Middleton of Andersonville; two brothers and sister-in-law, Danny C. and Madeline Hollon of Tallahassee, Fla., and Johnny W. Hollon also of Tallahassee, Fla.; three grandchildren, Elly Mock, Tinley Mock and Marley Hughes. She was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Daniels and a brother, Frank Thompson.
