Kiwanis Lt. Gov. Bill Bird and Americus Kiwanis Vice President Jody Wade recently attended the Kiwanis International Convention in Toronto, Canada. They were accompanied by their spouses, Janis Bird and Judy Wade. While at the convention, the Birds celebrated their 38th wedding anniversary and they were joined by the Wades for dinner at the top of the CN Tower restaurant. The Kiwanis Club of Americus is a strong supporter of children in our community and around the world. Local club support includes, The Boys and Girls Club, reading to the children in the schools, providing scholarships to local students, donations to the Human Society, Sumter Players, the Rylander Theater, GSW, ASHS, SA and SGTC athletic programs.
