AMERICUS — Mr. Robert “Bobby” Davis Peacock Sr., age 85, of Americus, Ga., passed away on Sept. 1, 2016, surrounded by family at his place of residence. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4_, 2016, in the chapel of Fellowship Baptist Church, 152 Tommy Hooks Road, Americus, Ga. The Revs. Deb Bibler and Wendy Peacock will officiate.Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 3, 2016, in the chapel of Aldridge Funeral Services. The family will also receive friends at the family’s residence.

Mr. Robert “Bobby” Davis Peacock Sr. was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Americus, Ga. He was the former owner of Peacock Dairy, as well as Peacock Tire Co. During his retirement he restored furniture. He was also a member of Fellowship Baptist Church of Americus, Ga.

He was preceded in death by his father Roy Lester Peacock Sr. and his mother Ruth Lewis Peacock. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Roy Peacock Jr., and one sister, Florence Peacock Deriso and a daughter Linda Jane Peacock. Survivors include his beloved wife Saranne Rushin Peacock. Survivors also include four sons: Robert “Bobby” D. Peacock Jr. (Cookie) of Americus, Ga., Hugh Lester Peacock (Anita) of Americus, Ga., Patrick Homer Peacock (Wendy) of Americus, Ga., and Judson Olin Peacock (Jill) of Calhoun, Ga.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jo Peacock of Americus and Hughlyn Weber (Bob) of King George, Va.; and four grandchildren: Travis Wright (Erin), Leslie Peacock, Daniel Peacock, and Emily Peacock; great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
