Resource manager appointed for Lake Blackshear

CORDELE — The Crisp County Power Commission has appointed Angela Craft to the position of Resource Manager for Lake Blackshear effective Sept. 1.
Craft succeeds Marcus Waters who held that position for the last 26 years. Waters has announced his plans to retire at the end of August, and the Power Commission congratulates him on his retirement and thanks him for his more than 41 total years of service with the Power Commission.
Craft has been employed by the Power Commission for 13 years in a variety of positions. As Resource nanager for Lake Blackshear, she will be responsible for administering the Lake Blackshear Shoreline Management Plan including the permitting process for docks, boathouses and seawalls. She will also oversee the Lake weed control program and other issues involving the Lake.
