AMERICUS — Mrs. Lillian Mae Wilson Legg, age 92, of Sumter Retirement Village in Plains, passed away on Thursday morning, Sept. 8, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center.

Services are planned for 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating and Mrs. Carol Anderson providing musical accompaniment. Burial will be private.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 4:30 and 6:00 PM Mrs. Lillian Mae Wilson Legg, age 92, of Sumter Retirement Village in Plains, passed away on Thursday morning, September 8, 2016, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center.

The family will receive friends between the hours of 4:30 and 6 p.m. on Friday at Hancock Funeral Home, and at other times at the home of Cindy and John Williams, 1830 U.S. Highway 280 West in Plains.

Born Nov. 30, 1923, in Carroll County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late James Sidney Wilson and Lillian Nestor Wilson. Mrs. Legg was retired as a real estate agent for the Bondurant Realty Co. in Radford, Virginia. She was a member of Plains Baptist Church and of the PALS Club, and was a former Pink Lady at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. For several years she taught porcelain painting, a skill at which she excelled.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Legg Williams and John of Plains; a son and daughter-in-law, James Robert Legg Jr. and Alicia of Maryville, Tenn.; three granddaughters: Leigh Anne Williams and fiancé Ron Vignone of Columbia, S.C., Dagan Boyd of Maryville, Tenn., and Bradley Legg of Maryville, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Legg Sr.; by her grandson, Jay Williams; and by 10 siblings.
