• Firefighters responded to 22 calls for medical assistance.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on District Line Road activated by cooking.
• Firefighters responded to Lawhorn Drive to a report of a structure fire. They was no fire, but a blown light bulb.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a tree across the road at Ga. Highways 308 and 49 South.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a tree across the road on Ga. Highway 49 South.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a tree over the roadway at Upper River and Hawkins roads.
• Firefighters stood to assist during the POW/MIA Recognition Day event held at Andersonville National Historic Site.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on U.S. Highway 280 West in which a “big truck” side-swiped an F150 pickup truck.
• Firefighters responded to a report of a woods fire on Foxworth Drive where they found the occupant burning a large of pile of old wood without a burn permit.
• Firefighters responded to an unknown incident on Loop Road; nothing was found.
• Firefighters provided a public safety detail at South Georgia Technical College.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Pecan Terrace. No hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to a report of an odor on R.W. Jones Road. The cause was not found and the house was ventilated.
• Firefighters responded to North Hunter Drive to assist in opening a stuck garage door.
• Firefighters provided a public safety program at the American Legion on Ga. Highway 30 West.
• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Ga. Highway 118, which was out upon arrival.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm at Young’s Mill and Harry Priddy roads. Upon arrival, they found a vehicle fully engulfed in flames.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Stuart Way; no hazards were found.
• Firefighters provided a public safety program with the Shriners on Adderton Street.
• Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on U.S. Highway 19 South.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident at Bumphead Road and U.S. Highway 19 North.
• Firefighters responded to Flintside Drive to assist an individual get up off the floor.
• Firefighters responded to an alarm on Shiloh Road; no hazards were found.
• Firefighters responded to Old Dawson Road to a report of a power line down.
• Firefighters responded to a traffic accident on South Georgia Tech Parkway.
• Firefighters responded to a controlled burn on U.S. Highway 280 West.
• Firefighters responded to Pecan and Bailey roads where a hay baler had caught fire and spread to some hay bales.

Arrests
• Edgar L. Banks, 24, of 499 Arch Helms Road, Americus is charged with battery, and was released on bond.
• Marcus L. Bateman, 27, of 1426-C S. Lee St., Americus is charged with terroristic threats and acts, and was released on bond.
• Anna M. Bishop, 29, of 122 E. Southland Road, Americus is charged with aggravated assault and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, and was jailed.
• Jake W. Brunson, 31, of Marietta is charged with probation violation, and was jailed.
• Santorio Burton, 25, of 894 Young’s Mill Road, Americus is charged with criminal interference with government property and disorderly conduct, and was released on bond.
• Antekia S. Bush, 40, of 105 Knollwood Drive, Apt. 2B, Americus is charged with violation of oath by a public officer, and was released on bond.
• Darren A. Carter, 48, of 715 Hawkins St., Americus is charged with violation of child support court order, and was jailed.
