The Junior Service League of Americus held its annual Cowpoke Carnival Coloring Contest for all local schools. Students from Pre-K through third grade were able to participate. The winners received a t-shirt and two tickets to the Cowpoke Carnival. The coloring pages will be displayed at the Cowpoke Carnival on Saturday, October 1st at the Sumter County Fairgrounds. K4 winners are 1st place: Samuel Kelley, Southland Academy; 2nd place: Jada-Kate Solley, Schley County;  3rd place: Kamden Smith, Schley County. K5 winners are 1st place: Caidin Lusane, Schley County; 2nd place: Livvy Barry, Furlow Charter School; 3rd place: Montoriya Ferguson, Sumter County Primary School. 1st grade winners – 1st place: Hays Hagerson, Southland Academy; 2nd place: Kaitlin Arrington, Schley County; 3rd place: Brooklyn Prigeon, Sumter County Primary School. 2nd grade winners are 1st place: Jordyn Jackson, Sumter County Elementary School; 2nd place: Molly Holloway, Schley County; 3rd place: Laney Dew, Schley County. 3rd Grade winners are 1st place: Trishawn Flowers, Furlow Charter School;  2nd place: Reese Graft, Southland Academy; 3rd place: Ricky Nichols, Sumter County Elementary School.
