Webster County High School students recently gathered for the highly anticipated class ring ceremony. Carson Bowen, representative from Herff Jones, presented class rings to members of the junior class. Class rings began as a tradition in 1835, at West Point Military Academy, when students started wearing them to show their unity and as a remembrance of the time they spent at the Academy. Since then, high school class rings have symbolized a significant achievement for students.
Herff Jones will be on campus Feb. 2 to take class ring orders. Shown, on back row, are Carson Bowen, Shawn Weil, Matele King, Mary Margaret Chesnut, Kailey Hudson, and Cody Barley; and front row, Jy’Kieria Williams, Jessica Durham, Casey Willis, Kailey Hudson, and Nadayshia Wimbush.
