3 Americus subjects arrested in Albany robbery

ALBANY — The three sus
pects arrested in connection to the armed robbery of the Oasis convenience store at 1301 S. Slappey Blvd., Albany, are from Americus. That according to Sumter County Sheriff Pete Smith.
According to Albany Police reports the incident occurred at 9:06 p.m. Saturday when two male suspects entered the business with handguns and demanded money from the clerk who was working at the register. The clerk complied and handed over cash from the register.
After the suspects got the money, they left on foot, crossing South Slappey Boulevard. Police located the suspects a short time later on West Gordon Avenue. All three suspects were taken to the Law Enforcement Center and turned over to investigators, according to reports.
The three arrested were Pete Bran Quintanilla, 18, Xavier Winbush, 24, and Collin Donaldson, 17. They are charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
