Schley Parks and Rec 9-10 football team completes undefeated regular season, sets sights on region crown

The future looks bright for Schley County’s football fans. The Schley County Recreation Department’s 9-10 year-old football team has been making quite a name for themselves this season.
The department’s Wildcats recently earned a 44-0 defeat of the Dooly County Bobcats to wrap up the team’s regular season with an undefeated record.
The young Wildcats will be traveling to Marion County on Sept. 29 for the first round of the regional playoffs. If the team advances in the playoffs, they will earn a spot in the region championship.
With a win in the region championship match, the young team will have the opportunity to compete with other region winners from across the state and, possibly, earn the state crown.
