Local state trooper takes on new role

AMERICUS — Master Trooper Dexter Cladd, formerly of the Georgia State Patrol Post 10, Americus, has recently accepted the role safety education/recruiter.
An Americus native, Cladd joined the Georgia State Patrol in 1992, and worked out of the Georgia State Patrol Post 10 Americus for over 21 years.
“Over the past years, I have seen many officers move forward with their careers,” he said. “Some have become supervisors and others have moved into more versatile position. It is now time to help build a better tomorrow for the Georgia State Patrol. I have accepted the role of Safety Education/Recruiter. Now my job will be to help recruit good men and women to be a part of the Georgia State Patrol.”
