GREENSBORO — Larry Rushing Addison, age 64, of Greensboro, Ga., passed away suddenly Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2016, at his home in Reynolds Plantation. He was born Dec. 13, 1951, in New Orleans, La., the only son of the late Herman Addison and Carrie Rushing Addison. After graduating from Hattiesburg High School in Mississippi, he attended the University of Mississippi and the University of Southern Mississippi, where he was a member of Kappa Sigma. On Oct. 22, 1978, he married Page Dixon. During his 40-year working career, he worked for Hyatt Hotels and Cooper Lighting Co., before starting his own business. He was president and owner of Addison-Parrish Lighting Co. before retiring in 2011. After his retirement, they moved to Lake Oconee where he spent many happy hours with family, friends and his favorite pastime, golfing. Larry was a member of Due West Methodist Church while living in Kennesaw, and attended Greensboro First United Methodist Church after moving to Greensboro in 2015.

Larry is survived by his wife of 38 years, Page Addison of Greensboro, Ga.; two sons, Nick Addison and wife Mallory of Austin, Texas, and Stephen Addison of Austin, Texas; four grandchildren, Luke Addison, Sam Addison, Grace Addison and Will Addison; and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 4, 2016, at First United Methodist Church, South Campus, 4741 Carey Station Road, Greensboro, Ga., with the Rev. Mike Morgan officiating. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at Kennesaw Memorial Park, 1306 Whitlock Ave. NW, Marietta GA 30064. Serving as pallbearers are David Hatch, Roy Elliott, Fritz Zeck, Ryan Irvine, Jimmy Williams, Warren Ragsdale and Nelson Withers. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time for the service Friday at the church.
