Sumter County Middle School student of the month celebration was held Oct. 25. Students were selected by their homeroom teacher and a written document was written describing why the student was chosen. The students received a certificate and a Sumter County Middle School lanyard. The students and their guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast of sausage, grits, eggs and drink. Seventh-grade students are Lauren Key, Alexandria Swain, Ja’keria Johnson, Lizbeth Flores-Perez, Rosa Gomez, Anijila Lyles, Jaliyah Carter, Jahara Mays, Devin Johnson, Kyric Davis, Ja’Nasia Cook, William Hubbard, and Troytavious Parker. Eighth-grade students are Christian Waymon, Trinity O’neal, Mustafa Furkhan, Marquetta Brown, Nakeevian Holt, A’jayla Harvey, Michael Parsons, Ny’Asia Williams, Kennedy Williams, Joden Richards, Nikydia McDonald, A’Shiah Green, and Teddy Walker.
