Take up issues with legislators
This POTUS election cycle is over. Many will sit back, pick up the remote again, pat themselves on the back for “doing their part” and promptly go back to sleep, thereby letting things go unchecked again for another four years. Now, if you are in the least bit interested in affecting positively the future of this once great Nation, is the time for action.
There are two issues that any concerned American should be taking up with their legislators right away.
The first is the push for term limits on our US Senators and Representatives. We need to have turn over in the two houses to prevent corruption by career politicians who are far more interested in maintaining their dynasties than they are serving the best interest of the American taxpayers. The second issue is that of “One subject at a time”. This simply refers to the fact that we need to have our legislators voting on one particular issue at a time so as to ensure accountability and responsiveness in our elected officials. Mia Love, Congress woman for Utah’s 4 h district has proposed legislation that would force our legislators to vote on one important topic at a time so that the American voter, regardless of political affiliation, can see exactly where that legislator stands on the important issues that will shape our Nation for years to come.
