Special notice to all Schley County residents about water
The Schley County Board of Commissioners and the Schley County Manager are asking all citizens  to please not water outside. If you need to water, please do so between the hours of 4:00 P.M. to 10:00 P.M. until the ban is lifted.
This is the State Law from Environmental Protection Division. This is due to the drought here in our County as well as the whole State of Georgia.
The ban has been enacted to reduce the possibility of a fire. Please be careful and follow the Local and State Laws by using your water correctly during the time schedules every day.
You will be notified when the band is lifted by the Americus Times Recorder   and other papers.
For more information on this special watering, please call Mr. Bill Sawyer at 937-2609.
He will be glad to explain and give you more information on this situation.
