AMERICUS — Mr. Charles Douglas Warren, age 74, of 104 Sylvan Ridge Road, Americus, Ga., passed away on the afternoon of Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2016. A graveside memorial service will be held at noon on Friday, Dec. 23_, 2016, at Oak Grove Cemetery.  Col. William Hughes will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at the family residence.

The following are asked to serve as honorary pallbearers: Bobby Underwood, Gerald West, Donnie Rose, John Cox, Allen Erkhart, and Ricky Sawyer. All other members of Double 4 Hunting Club are also asked to serve as honorary pallbearers.

Charles Douglas Warren was born April 3, 1942, in Hawkinsville, Ga. Charles was retired from Weyerhaeuser where he worked as a technician. He was a member of the Double 4 Hunting Club. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was an avid hunter and golfer. He also enjoyed spending time with his beloved dogs.

He was preceded in death by his father Charles Augustus Warren and his mother Eunice Middlebrooks Warren. He is survived by his wife, Myra Katherine Price Warren. Other survivors include his daughter Kerry Willis (Roger) of Americus, Ga., his son Kevin Beaver (Ashley) of Americus, Ga., and grandchildren Avery Willis and John Wesley Beaver.
