AMERICUS — Officers with the Americus Police Department responded at around 8:25 p.m. Monday to O’Reilly Auto Parts store, located at 912 E. Lamar St., t so a reported armed robbery.
Upon officers’ arrival, it was reported that the business had been robbed by two unidentified black males wearing all black and carrying handguns. Officers were told by witnesses that the two suspects entered the store with their faces covered, displaying their handguns, and demanded mon ey.
Employees were forced into the restroom and told to wait as the robbers left the store. No one was injured and an undermined amount of money was taken. No direction of travel of the suspects was known.
