Sumter student receives Piedmont academic honor

DEMOREST — The following student from Sumter County has been awarded academic honors for the recently completed fall semester at Piedmont College.
Caroline Lyman-Barner of Americus was named a Dean’s Scholar after completing the semester with a perfect 4.0 grade-point-average.

Piedmont College is an independent liberal arts college of more than 2,260 students, with campuses located in Demorest and Athens, Georgia. Founded in 1897, the college offers undergraduate degrees in more than 50 major areas, master’s degrees in education and business, and doctoral degrees in education.
