HIAWASSEE — Mrs. Margaret VanLandingham, age 76, of Airline Road, Young Harris, formerly of Lilburn, Ga., passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017, in the Chatuge Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. VanLandingham was born on May 16, 1940, in Cuthbert, Ga., the daughter of the late Richard Wills and the late Ruby Rushing Wills. Margaret enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and cooking. She was always a very positive person who loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by a sister, Sara Gibbs. Mrs. VanLandingham was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. VanLandingham are her loving husband, Bruce Redford of Young Harris; two daughters, Roxanna Fuhs of Blairsville, Margo Renee VanLandingham of Atlanta; two sons, Michael Lane VanLandingham of Young Harris, William Clay VanLandingham of Young Harris; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Beverly Wills of Sharpsburg, Ga.; two sisters, Agnes Wood of Americus, Ga., Christine Howard of Mullen, Neb.; five grandchildren, William Joshua VanLandingham, Zachary Spence, Kristin Renee Fuhs, Sara Megan Fuhs, and William Henry VanLandingham; her beloved dog Toby; many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Mountain View Chapel, and will be announced.
