VIDALIA — Mrs. Donna Shivers Morrison, age 60, of Vidalia, died Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2017, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, after a sudden illness. She was a native of Americus and spent most of her life in Vidalia, was a licensed practical nurse while working at hospitals and with home health, and attended Smith Street Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Curt Morrison; and parents, Gammage and Helen Shivers.

Mrs. Morrison is survived by three children, Brian Morrison and wife Melanie of Richmond Hill, Melissa Morrison, and Michelle Morrison Dubberly, both of Vidalia; one sister, Rene Hagerson and husband Boyd; one brother, Andy Shivers and wife Lori, all of Plains; and five grandchildren, Bradley Morrison, Blake Dubberly, Seth Morrison, Richie Morrison, and Lyla Morrison.

The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18 in the chapel of Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Vansant officiating. Burial followed in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Seth Morrison, Blake Dubberly, Bradley Morrison, Michael Morrison, Trey Morrison, Ladson Morrison, and Kent Morrison.

Ronald V. Hall Funeral Home of Vidalia was in charge of arrangements.
