AMERICUS — Faye C. Jones, age 84, of Americus died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2017, at her residence. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Central Standard Time, Saturday, April 15, 2017, at Ramsay Memorial Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Tuskegee, Alabama. The Rev.  Wendy Peacock will officiate. A visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Friday, April 14, 2017, at Aldridge Funeral Services.

Faye C. Jones was born May 19, 1932, in Macon County, Alabama, daughter of the late Tyler Goodwin Cox and the late Bessie Powell Cox. Mrs. Jones worked as a waitress for many different restaurants. She was of the Presbyterian faith.

Survivors include: one daughter, Kimberly C. Redford-Davis (Anthony) of Americus, Ga.; four sons, Ricky Ellenburg (Mary) of Mooresville, N.C., Nick Ellenburg (Kathy) of Americus, Ga., Kenneth Ellenburg (Sheila) of Round Lake, Minn., and Bruce C. Redford III (Kimi) of Villa Rica, Ga.; one sister, Grace Hill of Tacoma, Wash.; one brother, Tyler G. Cox Jr. (Gyneth) of Pike Road, Ala., nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband David T. Jones Sr., a daughter Vicki Smith, two sisters Eloise Woodard and Ruth Stanfield, and one brother, Harry Cox.
