South Georgia Technical College offers Firefighter I evening classes summer semester 2017. The classes will meet from 6-9 p.m. June 1-Aug. 1 on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursday. The courses are taught by active-duty, veteran firefighters. Anyone who wishes to be a firefighter, either paid or volunteer, will benefit from the Firefighter I Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC). Once the program, which consists of four classes that can all be taken summer semester, is successfully complete, a student will be able to sit for the NPQ I (National Professional Qualifications) Firefighter test to become a firefighter. The Firefighter II TCC is also available at SGTC, as well as the Fire Science Technology diploma program. For information contact Vanessa Wall at 229.931.2716 or vwall@southgatech.edu
