AMERICUS — The 65th National Day of Prayer will be observed locally at noon Thursday at the Russell Thomas Jr. Public Safety Building, 119 S. Lee St., sponsored by the Sumter Area Ministerial Association.
This year’s theme is “For Your Great Name Sake! Hear Us, Forgive Us Heal Us!” Daniel 9:19 “O Lord, hear! O Lord forgive! O Lord listen and act! Do not delay for Your own sake, my God, for Your city and your people are called by Your name.”
Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend as various local religious leaders lead the community in prayer.
