Webster County players named to All-Region teams

PRESTON – The Webster County Bobcats varsity baseball team recently completed their season with two tough losses to fellow region opponent, Pelham High School. The Bobcats wrapped up the season with an 11-11 record, falling a few spots out of the playoffs. The Webster crew finished in 28th place and needed to be in 24th place to earn a spot in the playoffs.
Several members of the Webster team were recognized by the region through and Second-Team All-Region awards as well as All-Freshman Team honors.
The Bobcats’ Rasheed Jenkins was named First Team All-Region and to the All-Freshman team. Chris Harty was named Second Team All-Region. Jacob Campbell was named Second Team All-Region. James Morris was named Second Team All-Region. Tanner Matthews was named Second Team All-Region. Tyler Summerford was named Second Team All-Region. Cruz Willis was named to the All-Freshman Team.
