AMERICUS — Seabron Ray Gwynes, 80, of Americus died Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. A native of Americus, he was born March 2, 1937, to the late Otis Gwynes and Eula Kitchens Gwynes. He was a member of Mount Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church in Oglethorpe.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Americus with Dr. David Kitchens and the Rev. Keith Parks officiating. Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his cousins: David and Barbara Kitchens of Americus, Ronnie and Linda Kitchens of Pelham, Tommy Kitchens of Perry, Gene and Audry Kitchens of Hideaway, Texas, and Mossenia Welty of Dunwoody.

Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Zion-St. Luke Lutheran Church, 401 N Randolph St., Oglethorpe GA 31068.
