AMERICUS — Deacon Rodney Banks of Sumter County died May 30, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. June 5, 2017, at Friendship Missionary Baptist Church. The Rev. Jesse Watts will officiate and burial follows at New Zion Cemetery, Cobb. Barnum Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.
