AMERICUS — Mr. Barry Andrew Howard Sr., age 58, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.

A memorial service was planned for 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4 in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.  Ray Jenkins officiated.

The family received friends between the hours of 2 and 3 p.m. on Sunday at Hancock Funeral Home.

A native of Moultrie, Mr. Howard was born Jan. 26, 1959, to the late James and Gladys Howard. He was employed as a truck driver for Perry Bros. Oil Co. and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Howard; son, Barry Andrew Howard Jr. (Sheena); daughter, Courtney Everett; grandchildren: Dylan Howard, Kylie Howard, Tyler Howard, Alexis Howard, Alex Everett, and Ava Turner; brothers: Ricky Howard (Wanda), Randy Howard (Donna), and Chris Howard; sisters: Sherra Craig, Sheila Lash (Sonny), Jackie English, June Dell Hardin, and Regina Horn; mother-in-law, Marie Pittman; sisters-in-law: Donna Hall (Wayne) and Deborah Goodin (Gene); and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and by two brothers: Jimmy Howard and Bobby Howard.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Scott Law Foundation, 205 E. Lamar St., Americus GA 31709.
