AMERICUS — Betty Jo Driver, 76, of Americus died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. She was born Nov. 14, 1940, in Macon County to the late Harvey and Verlie Raper. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and camping. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, June 9, 2017, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel in Americus. The Rev. Lawrence Wiggins and the Rev. Mark Carter will officiate the service. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, June 8, 2017, at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Dana and Lee Wilborn; three sons and daughter-in-law: Billy Driver Jr. and his wife Lillie “Fran,” Michael Wayne Driver and his fiancée, Kathy Arnold, and Walter Steven Driver. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren: Joey and Jennifer Driver, Andy and Lani Driver, Josh and Summer Driver, Jessi Driver, Emilee Driver, Macy and Zach Daniel, Bryce Driver, Marley Driver, Cory Lowell, and Courtney Lowell; seven great-grandchildren: Blakely Driver, Wade Driver, Eli Driver, Ramsey Driver, Ryleigh Driver, McKinlee Lowell, and Olivia VanCleave; a sister, Edna King; a brother, William Raper, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Billy Driver Sr.
