AMERICUS — The Sumter County Development Authority recently joined with TCI Powder Coatings to host the Quarterly Industry Leader Tour. The tours are designed for local leaders to learn first-hand about the businesses in the community, from product production and services, to the workforce skills needed for the industry to be successful. It is also an opportunity for industry leaders to share any barriers to their growth in Sumter County, and for everyone to work together in finding solutions.
For more than 25 years TCI has been a premier powder coating supplier with a strong commitment to people, products, and service. As an industry leader, TCI dedicates itself to developing superior thermoset powder coating powders and providing unparalleled service, as recognized by many satisfied customers.
While visiting TCI, participants learned the ins and outs of the operations, how the powder coating is developed, and viewed the state of the art research facility recently constructed in the Ted Baldwin Business and Technology Park. Having opened in Sumter County a year ago, TCI transformed a former industrial site by adding office, design and lab space to allow them to meet the needs of their clients, which includes companies such as General Electric, Rust-Oleum and Stonhard.
Tour participants include local elected officials, higher education partners, utility partners, and economic development leaders who work hand in hand with business and industry to ensure the continued growth of Sumter County.
