ALBANY — Paul Harrison “Hal” Stadnik Sr., 58, of Albany, Ga., died June 24, 2017, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 28 at Mathews Funeral Home, Albany. The Rev. Ricky Lipp and the Rev. Robert Greene will officiate. Interment will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.

A native of Columbus, Ga., born to the late Paul and Barbara Ann Stadnik, Hal moved to Baker County, Ga., when he was 14 years old. He farmed with his uncle and graduated from Baker County High School in 1977.  He moved to Albany, Ga., and owned and operated Bloomer’s Greenery and Harrison’s Sports Bar and Grill both in Americus, Ga. Hal currently owned Stadnik Landscape Management Co. He enjoyed fishing, grilling and family, and was a member of Porterfield Memorial United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Polly McGowan Stadnik of Albany, Ga.; his children, Lauren Banks Stadnik of Adel, Ga., and Paul Harrison Stadnik Jr. of Albany, Ga.; three sisters, Paula Stadnik Aldridge, Sandra Stadnik Hughes, Jessica Andrea Louise Stadnik, and his stepmother, Andrea Stadnik, all of Columbus, Ga.; and his favorite companion, his poodle, “Carlie.”

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at Mathews Funeral Home.
