PLAINS — The men’s restroom at the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site will be closed the week of June 26-30 to allow the fixtures in the men’s restroom to be upgraded and tied into the new water service at Plains High School. During this time visitors to Plains High School are able to use restroom facilities at Maxine Reese Park in downtown Plains, the Jimmy Carter Boyhood Farm (2.5 miles west of Plains), and the Georgia Welcome Center (closed on Mondays), one mile east of Plains.

Fixture replacement at Plains High School is part of a larger project to bring much-needed upgrades to the water service at Plains High School and allow the Jimmy Carter National Historic Site to better serve the needs of the visiting public.
