AMERICUS — Sponsorships are still available at several levels for the 19th annual Steak & Stake Charity event to be hosted by the Boys & Girls Club of Americus/Sumter County Inc. on July 25.
The annual fundraiser starts at 6 p.m. at the Georgia Southwestern State University Storm Dorm. Stacey Abrams, D-Atlanta, Minority Leader of the Georgia House of Representatives will give the keynote address. She represents District 89. Performances by the club’s youth will be featured. Joining hosts will be the former United States President Jimmy Carter and first lady Rosalynn Carter.
