Wayne Arrington announces retirement

AMERICUS — The Baldwin Agency Inc. of Americus announced that L. Wayne Arrington, CLU retired at the end of June.
Arrington became part of the agency in August 1986, to develop and manage the financial services department for the company. Those services included life insurance, health insurance, equities, annuities, and employer-sponsored benefits.
Prior to coming to Americus, Arrington was director of marketing for Executive Underwriters, a regional insurance brokerage firm located in Memphis, Tenn. Originally from this area, 2017 marks his 47th year in the financial services industry.
Everyone at The Baldwin Agency has certainly benefited from Arrington’s time with the company. His background, experience and dedication has meant that Baldwin’s customers received the very best recommendations and service. They have felt fortunate to have him as part of their team and the community as well.
Among other things, Arrington served as an elected member of the Sumter County School Board and as a member of the Americus-Sumter County Hospital Authority, where he was chairman for eight years. He is also very active in his church.
The Baldwin Agency and staff congratulate Arrington on his retirement and thank him for his many years with the agency. His leaving is their loss but well deserved for him, and they wish him a long and rewarding retirement.
