Shooting suspect out on bond

AMERICUS — When Americus Police responded Saturday afternoon to a domestic dispute in the area of Reddick Drive, they found EMS ministering aid to a man who had been shot in the leg.

Authorities were called to the area shortly after 2 p.m., but witnesses told them the shooting had actually occurred in the front yard of 1537-D N. Jackson St. As officers conducted witness interviews, the wounded 18-year-old was taken to Phoebe Sumter Medical Center for treatment. While on the scene, a sergeant was advised return to the Americus Police Department where the suspect had turned himself in.

Patrick Antonio Clark, 43, of 111 Melody Lane, Americus was charged with aggravated assault and jailed. He was released on bond on Monday
